Started by Mrs. Lynn Stenroos in 2013, each year 5th Graders ath the Intermediate School research a historical figure and bring them to life at the Living History Museum! Not only is this a fun, engaging way for students to learn about biographies, but it is also a fundraiser for WNC!
Each student will have a small box for coin collection. When a museum visitor stops by a character, they will deposit coins in the container and the Historical Figure will come to life and give his/her speech.
Last year, it generated $1,607 for WNC programs and services! To learn about (and meet!) figures such as Charlie Chaplin, Lucilla Ball, Alfred Hitchcock, and more, come to the Intermediate School’s Living History Museum on May 24th. Sessions are 10am-11am and 2pm-3pm.
