This weekend was the delivery of WNC’s Christmas Meals! We appreciate our volunteers taking the time to give back to your neighbors, to demonstrate volunteerism to the kids in our community, and to share the joy of the holidays! This event would not have been successful without the support of Piggly Wiggly, Waunakee Intermediate School, Hellenbrand Glass, Waunakee Community Bank, Mrs. Chaimson’s Class, and our volunteer coordinator Carol Bleifield! If you would like to contribute to the Christmas Meals fund, donate online or by mailing a check to 215 S Century Ave #316 before December 24th! This program provides so much more than a meal, and it’s only with the support of community members like you that we make it happen.
Did you happen to notice some fancifully shaved martial artists around town?
Eleven heroic men with follicular fortitude at Moh’s Martial Arts put their razors to rest for the month of November while students and families of Moh’s cast votes at $5 each for the beard styles each man should groom and sport proudly for the entire first week of December.
Together, they raised over $3,000 for WNC programs and services!
Thank you to all who participated in the MOHvember fundraiser!
We love your creativity and passion for supporting our community!
WNC had an amazing 4th Annual Horrible Holiday Sweater Shuffle! We are so thankful for everybody who came out and ran – or shuffled!
We love when our community gets together, and had a fabulous time getting in the holiday spirit with you all!
This fundraising event would not have been successful without our generous sponsors and dedicated volunteers, led by event coordinator Kari Davis!

For their birthday party this year, Austin (7) and Makayla (5) were inspired by a friend to collect donations for WNC instead of asking for gifts!
Together with their party guests, they collected a mountain of diapers, laundry soap, and Christmas gifts for their neighbors in need! We are so proud to belong to a community with kids like Austin and Makayla (and their brother Joshua!) who give selflessly to make sure everyone has the essentials they need – and a little something special for Christmas!
Thank you to Austin, Makayla, and all of their guests!
On Thursday, we had a group of enthusiastic volunteers answer a last-minute call to action!
Together, we got through some administrative tasks that aren’t always the most exciting, but necessary to support our operations.
Thank you Becky, Colleen, Theresa, Lidia, Maggie, and Carol! We cannot say enough how fortunate we are to have such dedicated volunteers in our community. We would not be able to serve our neighbors without their support!
If you would like to get involved, contact us today, stop in when we’re open, or view our sign ups online!
Last month, Emma and Grace and their friends in the neighborhood ran a lemonade stand to benefit WNC!
We love hearing the creative way people come up with to give back to the community, thank you Emma, Grace, and all who contributed to the lemonade stand for your support!
This summer, we have truly enjoyed growing our partnership with 1st National Bank! Not only did they organize the Community Car Wash earlier in the month to support WNC, but they have also volunteered as Personal Shoppers during Client Shopping, and host our annual Cocoa Mocha Tuesday in November!
WNC is so grateful to our partners like 1st National Bank who demonstrate the value of collaboration and community!
For her 10th birthday party, WNC friend Ava decided she didn’t want to ask for gifts for herself. Instead, Ava inspired us all by asking for donations for families in need. Thank you to Ava and her guests for making a difference in the lives of others, your selflessness is commendable!
Last month, Peace Lutheran Church collected donations for WNC through Bags of Love, including paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, toiletries, postage stamps, gas cards, and other essential items that are often taken for granted. We are overwhelmed by their generosity and so grateful for their spirit of giving! Thank you to everyone at Peace Lutheran who participated with this amazing donation!
This week we have had dozens of volunteers from Love Begins Here!
These students have spent the past 4 days working on different projects like sorting donations, gardening in the Garden of Dreams, and assisting with WNC summer camp! We are so grateful for their commitment to stepping in and joining us as we Build a Stronger Community!
